Tracy Lapierre

Tracy worked for the Department of Defense as an Administrative Assistant for 10 years before moving to Nevada County in 2001. She is currently working as a Manager at a local restaurant and is a Residential Manager of a condominium complex in Grass Valley. Tracy is married and has a son in high school.

Larry Meek
Board Member, Trustee Area I: Chicago Park, Nevada City, Pleasant Valley, Twin Ridges, Union Hill, and Camptonville Union School Districts
2014-present

Larry came to Nevada County in 1986 as the Principal of Nevada Union High School. He has 40 years of experience as a Teacher, Principal and Superintendent, and earned his Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at USC. He is married and has two sons, and two grandsons, and is active in the community as a member of The 49er Breakfast Rotary Club.

Robert Altieri
Board Member, Trustee Area I: Chicago Park, Nevada City, Pleasant Valley, Twin Ridges, Union Hill, and Camptonville Union School Districts

After college, Bob Altieri worked at the Kennedy Space Center, particiating in the launch of Apollo 11. Following this, he worked in the Bay Area for two Fortune 500 companies and moved to Nevada County in 1981. Accomplishments: MBA, Licensed RE Broker, Certified Business Appraiser, and teaching at Sierra College.

Michelle ‘Shelly’ Sexton
Board Member, Trustee Area II: Clear Creek, Grass Valley, Ready Springs School Districts
2014 – present

Shelly currently works as Sutter County Special Education Assistant Superintendent. She has over 25 years of educational experience, including being a teacher for students with disabilities, a speech-language specialist, and an elementary school Principal. Shelly has lived in Penn Valley since 2000. She is married with two grown children. Both of her children graduated from Nevada Union High School.

Trevor Michael
Board President, Trustee Area III: Pleasant Ridge School District, Trustee Representative
March, 2011 – present

Prior to living in Nevada County, Trevor worked in Silicon Valley on next generation semiconductor industry technology. A new job in a local television industry technology company began his residence in Nevada County. He has been a parent and business owner in Nevada County since 1998. Trevor has a BSEE from the University of Florida and a MS in Computer Engineering from San Jose State University.
