Amanda Patterson, President of the Miss High School America Organization, announced today the continuing partnership between the Miss High School America Organization and People to People Ambassador Programs, the leader in global educational travel experiences.
The Miss High School America Pageant will award a full-tuition travel scholarship to the new 2015 Miss High School America on behalf of People to People Ambassador Programs. With this scholarship, the winner will have the opportunity to travel on one of the following amazing winter break programs offered by People to People: Holiday Magic in London, Mediterranean Holiday: Barcelona to Rome, Service and Spirit in India, or Mystical Mountains and Incan Adventures in Peru.
Lexi Collins, Miss High School America 2014, traveled with People to People on the Holiday Magic in London adventure over the 2014 winter break.
"Hey Amanda! I am having the time of my life here in London, so in love with the city... I'm having a blast!!! Today I visited Rochester and Canterbury and saw some amazing castles and cathedrals. Looking forward to the firework show overlooking Big Ben and The Eye tomorrow for New Years!", said Collins during her London visit.
The 2013 Miss High School America winner, Annie Jorgensen from Wisconsin, traveled with People to People Ambassador Programs to Europe on a life-changing journey through Spain, France, and Italy.
"My Mediterranean Holiday with People to People was an unforgettable experience, " said Jorgensen. "I loved being able to travel to 5 different countries with new friends from all over. I learned so much and cherished every memory. This opportunity to travel with People to People has opened up my eyes to the world, and I am excited to continue to travel and become a global citizen.”
